근래에 들어 전국 코로나19 확진자 수의 30% 안팎이 쏟아지는 서울 주변 지역은 알바 일자리 기근 현상이 더 심하다. 이번에 자취를 실시하면서 알바를 찾고 있는데 코로나바이러스 시국에 학교 근처의 아르바이트 자리는 구하기가 정말 쉽지 않다.
같은 학교 문화콘텐츠문화경영학과 1학년 학생은 “용비용을 벌고 싶어 시간제 아르바이트를 구하려고 해도 쉽지 않은 상태”이라며 “며칠전에는 편의점과 식당에 장시간 일하다가 매장 사정으로 인해서 어쩔 수 없이 일을 그만두게 된 친구들도 불었다”고 전했다.
다른 지역도 상태은 비슷하다. 이날 오전 대면수업이 있어 학교에 왔다는 울산대의 한 재학생은 “1학년이지만 과 친구나 동아리 친구도 없고 알바도 없는 중학생활을 하고 있다”며 “특별히 아르바이트는 교내 근로장학생 말고는 찾기 힘들 정도”라고 이야기 했다.
